I met this family on a chilly day in a snowy park for a special gift session. A gift of memories for mom. What better present could you think of? Full of smiles and laughter we set off through the snow to get some family pictures.
Do you recognize this baby? I was lucky enough to photograph her when she was a newborn (as well as her big brother and many family sessions!) and she came to visit me this winter to do a special styled shoot.
Isn't she just the sweetest little angel?! Thank you for bringing your smiles and giggles!
That is one heck of an anniversary milestone. How do two people get to 50 years? Through all the joy, pain, sadness, happiness, excitement, and adventures that those years provide? These two know the secret and their friends and family gathered to help them celebrate it. We shared memories, smiles, laughter, and tears. Thank you for welcoming me into your happiness.
This little guy definitely made me work. It was a bit of a flash back to when my own daughter was a tiny newborn. He wanted to be held by constantly and settling wasn't something that came easily to him, especially for traditional posed shots. We had to get creative, but it definitely shows why I book so much time for these sessions. Babies have their own schedules.
Back to blogging. Sorry it's been so long. Between shooting, editing, homeschooling, and regular real life stuff, blogging has fallen to the wayside.
I started my new year off with this little ball of cuteness and his adorable family!
Isn't he just the cutest little guy?! And so snuggly. I don't imagine these quiet moments lasting long before he's off and running with his big brother.
Black Friday is here! And with it, a little something special!
From Friday until Midnight on Monday buy 1 gift certificate and get a second one (of equal value) FREE!
Gift Certificates can be of any value and are able to be used on any session, the only exception being weddings.
Give the gift of a session and get one for yourself!
My daughter is starting Grade One this year. How did we even reach this point? Time passes too quickly sometimes, and it's why I try to capture it.
I am homeschooling her, and so I am the one to take her official school type pictures. Honestly, I don't think any session has ever captured her more perfectly.

A month ago I did a session with 3 pretty spectacular people. Seriously, have you ever seen anyone pull off effortless impossibly cool like these 3? I'm doubtful that you have. I am biased in this case though, as I've known this family for 10 years now. The kids were so little before, memories flooding my mind of long drives out of the city. They have grown into such awesome individuals. Their mom is pretty spectacular herself, and is definitely one of my favorite people.

If you've been following my work for awhile, you will recognize this family. I first met them when I took baby photos of their son, and I've been happy to watch him grow from baby to toddler and now to big brother.
I got to meet this little sweetie last weekend. At only a few days old, she was so tiny, but feisty. Awake for the entire session and only comfortable in the safe arms of her family, we had fun just capturing these fleeting moments.
This newborn stage never lasts long, being a little baby seems to pass in front of our eyes too quickly.

"I once asked an old man: which is more important, to love or be loved? He replied: which is more important to a bird, the left wing or the right wing?"
In a week, these two crazy kids will be married, and I am the lucky photographer who gets to capture the memories.
Adorably awkward, their main request for their engagement shoot was to include the geese.
So on a sunny spring day, we went for a walk.
The geese had their babies so we couldn't get too close, but they did allow us to be near enough to include them.
